100% owned and operated by the Davis family of Hampton, Iowa: Ivan
and Janiece Davis and their children, Brad Davis and Lori Davis
Cole. The Davis family has had an ownership interest in the bank
since 1937 when Janiece’s father, Paul Borcherding of Latimer,
purchased stock in the bank.
Ivan Davis is
Chairman of the Board and his wife Janiece is a director of the
bank. Ivan and Janiece spend several months of the year at their
winter home in Florida, but reside at their home in Hampton during
the summer. Ivan has been involved in banking at Latimer State Bank
in Latimer and at the Hampton State Bank since 1961.
Brad Davis has
been with Hampton State Bank since 1980 and has served as President
and CEO since 1996. Brad and his wife Peggy reside in Hampton. They
had four children in the Hampton-Dumont Community Schools:
Kate-Class of 2002, Andrew-Class of 2005, Matthew-Class of 2005 and
Michael-Class of 2006.
The Davis
Family has many ties to the Hampton-Dumont Community School System.
Ivan Davis was born in Hampton and graduated from HCHS in 1950. He
was active in music and sports and served as his class
vice-president. Ivan met Janiece at a basketball game where she was
a cheerleader for Franklin Consolidated Schools in Latimer (which
later became CAL). She is a 1951 graduate of Franklin Consolidated.
Brad Davis was
also born in Hampton and graduated from HCHS with the Class of 1973.
Brad participated in band, vocal, basketball, and golf. Brad was
vice-president of student council, a member of the National Honor
Society, and a member of the first ever debate team.
Lori Davis
Cole is also an owner of the bank. She and her husband, Joe, live in
Chicago with their two children, Ian and Anna. Lori graduated from
HCHS with the Class of 1977. She participated in band, vocal,
basketball, and track.
The Hampton
State Bank and the Davis Family have deep roots in Hampton and
Franklin County. It is the family’s desire to support the
communities and school system by contributing volunteer time and
financial support. Hampton State Bank was one of the five lead
contributors for the construction of the all weather track at the
high school. Brad Davis currently serves as a board member and
treasurer of the Hampton-Dumont Achievement Foundation. The bank is
pleased to provide scholarships to Hampton-Dumont and CAL-Dows
