Eligible participants would be those who have graduated from Hampton-Dumont, CAL or Sheffield-Chapin-Meservey-Thornton high schools and who have moved back to Franklin County after November 18, 2005 (the start date of our program) or anticipate moving back before the end of 2007.

To date, the bank has six households participating in the Come Home to Franklin County™ program, with a total of $411,860 loaned to them.

Because of the intense interest in our program, several great opportunities presented themselves to the bank and our county:

• four other banks in Iowa have purchased our trademarked "Come Home"™ program and as a result, Hampton State Bank has donated $1,000 of the sale proceeds to the Franklin County Development Association
• the City of Hampton received a $15,000 grant as a result of the "Come Home"™ program being noticed by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines
• Hampton State Bank was honored with a marketing award by the Iowa Bankers Association for its novel program
• And, most importantly, it has given me an opportunity to share how great Franklin County is with many radio and television stations, newspapers and other publications.
